SAMPARC Lily English Medium School & Junior College is a comprehensive educational institution that provides holistic English-medium education from Nursery to 12th Standard, encompassing Science, Arts, and Commerce streams. Located near Malavli Railway Station in the village of Patan, the school is a vital initiative of SAMPARC aimed at delivering quality education to rural and underprivileged children of Maval Taluka, Pune District.
The journey began in 2007 with the establishment of SAMPARC Abhinav English Medium School, initially focused on primary education for children from Nursery to 5th Standard. The foundation of the school was laid alongside a major community development initiative when, in 2006, Habitat for Humanity and former U.S. President Jimmy Carter collaborated with SAMPARC to construct 100 houses for women members of the SAMPARC Self-Help Groups in the area. A dedicated school building was constructed with 8 classrooms, a community hall, office space, sanitation facilities, and a playground to serve this growing community.
Recognizing the growing educational aspirations of the local community, SAMPARC expanded its initiative in 2018 by establishing Lily English Medium School and Junior College, thereby providing a continuum of education from the 6th to 12th Standard. This natural academic progression now offers full-fledged higher secondary education, including recognized streams in Science, Commerce, and Arts, under the authorisation of the Government of Maharashtra.
In the year 2023-24, SAMPARC Abhinav School merged with the SAMPARC Lily English Medium School & Junior College stands as a unified and inclusive educational institution. With over 720 students across all grades, the school ensures a balanced focus on academics, co-curricular, and extracurricular development. Students regularly participate in activities such as Rangoli, Dance, Mehendi, Fancy Dress, Elocution, Singing, Recitation, Rakhi Making, Lantern Making, and various sports competitions, including Running Race, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Sack Race, and Lemon & Spoon Race. National and cultural festivals are celebrated with great enthusiasm, fostering a strong sense of patriotism and cultural awareness among students.
The school is managed under the leadership of Principal Shri Chetan Deshmukh, supported by a dedicated team of teachers, administrative staff, and caretakers. The goal of the institution remains firmly rooted in SAMPARC’s mission—to provide affordable, value-based, and high-quality English-medium education to rural children, enabling them to become responsible, skilled, and confident citizens.
The school is providing qualitative education in English Medium.
