Project Incharge: Mr. Ajay Gaikwad Mob: +91 9011818570

The SAMPARC Higher Education Project is a pivotal extension of SAMPARC’s long-standing commitment to the holistic development and rehabilitation of orphaned, destitute, and socially marginalized children. Since its inception in 1990 by Shri Amitkumar Banerjee and Smt. Lata Pande, SAMPARC, has offered not just shelter and primary education but has also actively supported children on their journey toward higher education and self-reliance.

In the early years, the focus was primarily on providing primary and secondary education within the children’s homes. However, recognizing the growing aspirations and potential of senior children, the Higher Education Project was formally initiated in 2001. Over the last two decades, this initiative has successfully supported the educational advancement of approximately 900 children, enabling them to pursue professional, technical, and vocational courses across various disciplines.

Each year, around 40 to 50 children complete their SSC (10th Standard) from different SAMPARC Balgrams and are seamlessly integrated into the higher education stream. These students are then supported for an additional 5 to 6 years, depending on the nature of their chosen academic or professional path. The transition from schooling to college life is carefully managed to ensure continuity, confidence, and career-oriented growth.

Currently, 110 senior children are enrolled in colleges and technical institutions across Maharashtra and India, pursuing education in diverse fields such as commerce, science, arts, engineering, nursing, social work, and paramedical sciences. Every year, nearly 20 to 30 students complete their higher education and find placement in reputable organizations, industries, or public service sectors, becoming economically independent and successfully rehabilitated.

The SAMPARC Higher Education Project not only empowers children to pursue their academic dreams but also instils in them a sense of purpose, dignity, and confidence, equipping them to lead fulfilling lives and contribute meaningfully to society. It is a vital bridge between care and independence, reinforcing SAMPARC’s belief that every child is a project deserving long-term support, attention, and opportunity.
